HOME SWEET HOME. or not?

today was our final farewell,
we left chengdu today for singapore.

6 weeks past that fast,
it seems like we were just there yesterday.

i learnt many things from this trip,
so did my friends.

i am so going to miss many many things,
the weather there,
the food there,
the friends there,
the night life we had,
the times we spent.

especially the china friends we made,
Cherry, Amara, Fang Yu, Gordon etc.
there were all great friends,
definately going to miss them,
will visit them some day soon!

13102009

we had a graduation ceremony today,
with the dean and some students.

today we officially ended our 6 weeks course,
but we will be leaving tomorrow.

had buffet dinner with the rest of them,
before going back to bunk.

12102009

we went to xipu with gordon,
some shopped, some didnt.

ate a wonderful meal of korean food for lunch,
it was very nice, like a feast like that.

after that we walked around xipu and reached back at hostel at around 5.30.
some pooled, some stayed.

we celebrated 4 birthdays today,
with another feast in school.
and its kind of a farewell for us too.

11102009

woke up at 6.20am today by a morning call again.
checkout and left the hotel at 7.30am.

we first went to some crystal place,
where some bought, some didnt.
spent some time there before heading to some medicine place.

after that we went to buy rou gan(BA GUA).
bought some YAK meet,
not bad taste, unique.

after that headed to the airport,
got our boarding pass,
and waited for the plane.
it came late, as expected.
but wasnt delayed much.

came back, packed abit of luggage,
before heading for dinner.

10102009

woken up by a morning call today,
which was at 7am.
there was supposed to be hot water,
but the hotel says the weather was too cold to get hot water.

met our tour guide, before heading to jiuzhaigou.
we boarded a bus right up to the end point of jiuzhaigou,
where we eventually visited site by site.

headed for lunch in the middle of jiuzhaigou,
a buffet which was rather nice.

the clear blue waters are the main attraction there,
you can see 9m of waters, and it feels as if it is just 2m.
there are also many magnificent waterfalls.
natural one that is.

an overall good experience,
something which i will rarely see in singapore,
or anywhere else.

clear waters and clear skies finish off the exciting tour at jiuzhaigou.

we ended off the night with a concert,
which tells us some story about a girl.

ordered food through room service,
and today’s water is way cleaner than last night.

09102009

we met mr.chua and the rest at 8am,
to board the bus to the airport.

upon arriving at the airport,
we found out that our flight was supposed to be at 1105am.
but due to snow at jiuzhaigou, our flight was almost delayed by 3 hours.
so we had to feed on instant noodles while waiting for our flight.

we initially planned to go to Huang Long,
but due to us arriving late, and the poor road conditions,
we decided to make do without Huang Long, and to go visit some houses.

it was some tibetan housing, with a family of 68 members.
they played host to us,
we saw different kind of pets, including owl, and monkey.

we sat in their dining room, drinking and listening to their singing,
some high pitched voices, some nice voices,
ended off with dancing around a camp fire.

checked in to our hotel,
which only provides hot water at 9-12pm.
and the water was dirty yellow

08102009

we basically prepared for our Jiu Zhai Gou trip today,
packed our bags,
decided which to check in which not to check in.

went to chunxilu today too,
bought pandas, and just to walk around before coming back to singapore.
because its probably our last time here.

got to have an early night today as tomorrow we got to wake up early!

07102009

met banzhang today,
after she came back from her sister’s wedding.

played pool and ps2 for the whole afternoon,
before heading for dinner with “silly” and amara.

going to chunxilu for probably the last time tomorow.

oh and internet was down today,
need to top up!
and heard that Jiu Zhai Gou snows!

06102009

today my group had a IS presentation on Wu Hou Shrine at 9am.

Woke up early today, at about 6.30am in the hope that i can catch the sunrise.
but it was so cloudy today, that all we could see,
is clouds and cold win blowing.

so we got down to prof ma’s lab,
to present to mr. chua.
he gave us constructive feedback on how to improve.
we finished up our individual journals,
to just finish up all our IS projects.

after that came back, went to rooftop to blow wind,
to just enjoy the cool afternoon breeze.

went out to eat lamian for dinner again.

05102009

today was a day we spent our time preparing for the project,

finishing up the final touches of our presentation,
getting ready for tomorrow.

took all the panda we all bought,
put them together, displayed a real panda on my laptop.
and we took a group picture!

nothing major happened today,
cant wait for JiuZhaiGou!
